There is an ugly rumor going round the internet, no not about Lindsay Lohan or one of the Olsen twins, it’s about Flash not being SEO friendly. Some low down, slanderizing son-of-a-gun has spread a vicious ugly rumor that Flash & SEO can’t play nice with one another and I for one am appalled at the accusation.
I thought today I would take a moment today to address the issue and perhaps spread a little knowledge for anyone who is having second thoughts about putting together an eye-popping flash interactive site but still has reservations in regards to its SEO capability. So let me just take this moment to put all fears aside and let you know…
“FLASH CAN BE OPTIMIZED FOR SEARCH ENGINES”.
Saying that Flash can’t be optimized for search engines is a myth. Like crocodiles in the sewers and killer bees from South America and those sightings of the Loch Ness monster at Raging Waters. The myth goes like this… “Search engines can’t read your flash files so your flash site is invisible to search engines”. First of all, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
There are a multitude, not several, but a PLETHORA (isn’t that a great word?) of methods to make sure that your Flash site becomes the SEO rockstar it was always destined to be.
