Optimizing a website is only half the job, in order to really generate long term organic SEO, you have to give the people what they want. I think Red Skelton said that… but what I’ve learned is that if you don’t give the people what they want, they’ll stay away in droves.

Ok, so we’re writing good copy now, it’s SEO friendly, we’ve got a strategic approach on how to deliver what the masses are yearning for… now how do we get the message out to them? You could literally post a formula on your blog that turns lead into gold, but if nobody knows where to find it – what the heck good is it doing anyone? That’s where syndication comes into play. So now Skelton’s mantra is a little different… “Give the people what they want” AND “Make sure they know where to find it”.
